Supplementing its pilot 3G-enabled 900 series is the new 838 Pro PDA-phone featuring an integrated QWERTY keyboard and a secondary camera designed for facilitating video calls and self-portraits. At the heart of this slider is a new 400MHz Samsung processor which stacks up well against competitors such as the O2 Atom and HP iPaq rw6828 . Hardware aside, it also comes bundled with an intuitive WorldCard Mobile software which captures business cards' textual information into a contact database via the onboard camera.

The Dopod 595 and 838 Pro will be available from the second week of August at S$848 (US$532.99) and S$1,248 (US$783.03), respectively, with a two-year telco contract.
